The School functioning in the year 1969 at Tri Nagar & shifted to present premises at I-Block, Ashok Vihar, Phase -1, Delhi. The foundation stone of the present structure was laid in 1972 by the President Hon. Shri V.V Giri. Since then the school has made tremendous progress. In the first instance the school was recognized up to primary level, in the year 1995 it was upgraded to Middle, in 1997 to secondary in 2003 for Sr. Secondary level. It is recognized by the Delhi administration & affiliated to C.B.S.E. the student are prepared for All India Senior Secondary Board Examination conducted by C.B.S.E.

The house system of the school is an effective tool to develop team spirit, healthy competition and a sense of community in the students. There are six houses in the school. Through the various Inter-House events organized in the school, the school trains and prepare the students in various co-scholastic activities like sports, art and craft literary activities. These Co-Scholastic activities complement the scholastic activities of the school. Activities of the school and form an integral part of the holistic development of the student.

"The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth.” The School follows the recommendations of the NCERT & prepares children for examinations conducted by C.B.S.E. The school has adopted the three language formula English is taught as first language whereas Hindi & Sanskrit being second & third language. Environmental Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Social Science Music & Art Education form the subjects of the core-curriculum up to the Secondary stage. At the Senior Secondary stage provision is made for English, Hindi, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, Informatics Practices, Physical & Health Education, Economics, Accountancy, Business Studies, Political Science & History. Facilities are available for learning Music, Art, Sport Judo etc. Our Students actively participate in different inter-School, Zonal state District level Competitions and bring laurels.
Written notice of one calendar month must be given to withdraw a student from the school or a month's fee will be charged in lieu of notice.
The Principal reserves the right to cancel the admission of a student whose performance and progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is harmful to the interest and prestige of the institution.
The name of the student who fails in the same class twice will automatically be removed from the school rolls
Any student caught using unfair means during an examination will not remain on the school rolls.
In case a student stops attending the school without any prior information to the school authorities, his/her name will be struck off the school rolls after six consecutive days of absence.
Students must come in proper School Uniform.
Students must reach the School atleast 5 minutes before the time fixed for assembly.
Students who come late or who have been absent on the previous day must bring an application from the parents.
Irregular attendance, habitual illness, neglect of home work, disobedience and disrespect towards teachers & members of the staff or bad moral influence justify dismissals. Pupils are responsible to the school authorities for their conduct both in and outside school.
In case "of long leave, the guardian of the student himself should" get the leave sanctioned by the Principal beforehand. Any sick leave otherwise during the examination should be supported by a Medical Certificate.
Students should take utmost care of the school property and premises. Any kind of damage done to the school property will lead to fine.
Parents are expected to co-operate in the working of the school enforcing regularity and discipline & taking general interest in their child's progress.
The parents are welcome to meet the Class Teacher & discuss their ward's progress in class & any other problem regarding the child during the Parent-Teacher meet which is held from time to time.
Lions Public School is a co-educational school from Nursery to XII. It prepares the students for the senior school (XII) & the secondary school (X) certificate of the Central Board of Secondary Education (C.B.S.E).
